My 2003 Vegetable Garden

This years garden will have tomatoes, peppers, sweet corn, cucumbers and bush beans.

Beans
Golden Wax (bush)
June 16 - photo showing plants growing in a "wide row" method
June 8 - first plants emerge through soil
June 2 - initial sowing - planted as a 8 foot long hedge in one of the corn rows (ie. mixed in with the corn).

Kandy Corn
June 20 - first sowing 11" tall and 2sd. sowing is 5" tall.
June 14 - photo showing height difference of both sowings
June 9 - second sowing to reinforce void spaces
June 7 - first sowing emerged through soil at 1" tall
June 1 - initial sowing of 2 1/2 rows (38 feet /row)

Bush Champion (Burpee)
June 20 - a few plants emerging thru soil
June 16 - replanted 2 mounds due to previous plants disappeared (ate by some critter) , covering them with 5 gallon pails
June 9 - two plants emerged through soil
May 30 - initial sowing of 4 mounds
Double Feature Hybrid (Burpee)
June 23 - without any plants visible, I reseeded, this time using potting soil to only lightly cover the seeds.
June 16 - initial sowing that replace 2 mounds of Bush Champion which were eaten

Super Sweet 100 (cherry type)
June 16 - photo showing both plants about 10" tall
June 2 - transplanted 2 plants around same stake ; obtained from Brenans
Volunteer (likely SS100)
May 30 - transplanted 2 volunteers from last year (Super Sweet 100?)
