This photo shows the gondola car shortly after it arrived on the HVSRy, Sept. 1974.  We see it setting on the #1 yard track.  Of  a particular interest in this photo is the old Foundry buildings visible in the background.  Today a  gas station is there.

This next photo was taken in the winter of 1974.  Notice the old yard's hump roadbed to the right of the photo.

By April 1976 we see the former freight gondola car  beginning to be altered  for passenger use.  Ex-C&O carman Don Ray is wearing the short sleeve shirt in the center of the photo.

By the summer the HVSRy had a new piece of passenger equipment.
